Earthworm
Every earthworm has both sets of sexual reproductive organs. They can fertilize another worm while being fertilized by that same worm. Earthworms can also reproduce themselves if they need to. They can regenerate new segments if they lose too many and become too short to burrow themselves into the ground. Earthworms are better at regenerating tails than heads. When they split in halves and regenerate the segments they lost, only one half will survive. The half with the head will survive and regrow into the full earthworm it was and the other half will try to regenerate but will usually fail. |
