Trichuris Trichiura
The Trichuris Trichiura species, otherwise known as the human whipworm, is a parasitic nematode that causes trichuriasis in humans. Symptons of trichuriasis include pain, tiredness, diarrhea, and perhaps low blood levels.
Upon reaching the human large intestine, the female nematode produces 2,000-10,000 eggs everyday. These eggs are deposited from feces onto soil, where they develop. These eggs will somehow be ingested by another human and hatch in the small intestine and continue to develop there. |
